Michael Eberlin, Ph.D., (Director LICCT)

Dr. Michael Eberlin Ph.D.,Dr. Dominic Candido Ph.D.,Dr. Stuart Ibel Ph.D. ,and Dr. William Ryan Ph.D. are extremely experienced and qualified in cognitive and behavioral therapy. Serving Long Island, LI and the surrounding area.

After completing his undergraduate education at Rutgers, Dr. Eberlin obtained his doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology from HOFSTRA University in 1986, and was trained by leaders in cognitive and behavioral psychology. He has been licensed as a Psychologist and permanently certified as a School Psychologist for over 20 years. At Developmental Disabilities Institute, Dr. Eberlin supervised the Department of Psychology first in the Division of Children’s Services, and then in the Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Center. Dr. Eberlin has published important research in peer reviewed journals, has trained many young psychologists, and has extensive experience as a School Psychologist who sat on many CSE meetings and assisted teachers in many classrooms. He has served as an expert behavioral consultant to many school districts and agencies on Long Island. In addition, Dr. Eberlin practices effective supportive cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and Psycho-diagnostic Assessment with adults and children. He is an expert in diagnosing and comprehensively treating children and adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, the autism spectrum, and all behavior and adjustment problems. Dr. Eberlin works closely with children and parents using cognitive and behavioral methods that have been proven effective by valid research. He has years of experience dealing with schools, doing educational advocacy for patients. Abby Aronowitz, Ph.D.

Kristin Wolff-Gatoux, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael Eberlin Ph.D.,Dr. Dominic Candido Ph.D.,Dr. Stuart Ibel Ph.D. ,and Dr. William Ryan Ph.D. are extremely experienced and qualified in cognitive and behavioral therapy. Serving Long Island, LI and the surrounding area.Dr. Gatoux completed her psychology training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in attendance she obtained experience working with children, adolescents, and parents in local schools. In the schools, she administered psychological tests, consulted with parents, school faculty and administration, and created behavioral intervention plans for children and adolescents. Dr. Gatoux gained clinical experience in a residential treatment setting with emotionally disturbed adolescents where she worked closely with typical children and children with developmental delays. Dr. Gatoux has extensive experience helping people with ADHD, anxiety, mood, and sleep disorders. Further, she has focused training regarding methods of working with individuals who have suffered various forms of abuse. Due to her passion for helping such individuals, Dr. Gatoux completed her dissertation on sexual abuse and the various diagnoses which correlate highly with experiences of such abuse.  While working on her doctoral degree, Dr. Gatoux created her own practice as an ADHD Coach. She continues to work with children and adolescents with various learning disabilities, learning styles, and ADHD, assisting them with organization, planning, time management, motivation, study skills and life skills. In addition, she consults with teachers and administrators on best practices in the classroom and with parents regarding parenting practices within the home. Dr. Gatoux was professionally trained by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli in the practice of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction in Mind-Body Medicine. She was also trained on the application of mindfulness-based approaches to people’s experience and expression of stress, pain, grief, and anxiety. Dr. Gatoux is a licensed school psychologist in North Carolina.  Dr. Gatoux also has her Provisional License as a Psychologist in NY State. 

Jonathan Grossman, LCSW

Jonathan Grossman is a New York State licensed clinical social worker that earned a BA in psychology from Brooklyn College and an MSW from New York University. Mr. Grossman is a clinician with 17 years of highly concentrated mental health experience. His professional journey began in OMH certified residential treatment facilities for the severely and persistently mentally ill where he served as assistant program director. Subsequent experience included positions as program director, administrative supervisor and psychotherapist in various out patient mental health programs. This work included individual, family, group and martial psychotherapy with a diverse population diagnosed with a range of psychiatric disorders. Mr. Grossman has been an active member of NASW since 1991 and has attended numerous postgraduate workshops on a variety of disorders. Mr. Grossman is presently completing his certification as a Cognitive Therapist by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and he has an active, special interest in treating members of the trans-gendered, trans-sexual, and lesbian/gay communities.

Stuart Ibel, Ph.D., B.C.B.A.

Dr. Michael Eberlin Ph.D.,Dr. Dominic Candido Ph.D.,Dr. Stuart Ibel Ph.D. ,and Dr. William Ryan Ph.D. are extremely experienced and qualified in cognitive and behavioral therapy. Serving Long Island, LI and the surrounding area.

Dr. Ibel is a Licensed Psychologist, Certified School Psychologist, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He obtained his undergraduate education from Long Island University, and his doctorate in Developmental Psychology from SUNY Stony Brook. While at Stony Brook, Dr. Ibel worked in the neuro-psychology labs of Dr's. Nancy K. Squires and Herbert T. Kaye. He also received pre and postdoctoral training and supervision in psycho-diagnostics and therapeutic intervention from Dr. Michael Eberlin, at Developmental Disabilities Institute. Dr Ibel co-authored peer reviewed articles in the Journal of Pediatric Psychology, the Journal of Sleep Research, and the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. Dr. Ibel has maintained a private psychology and consulting practice since 1994, and has been Clinical Director of Challenge Early Intervention Center since 1998. He has many years experience working with children, adults and families from diverse backgrounds, employing empirically validated cognitive, cognitive‑behavioral, and behavioral approaches.
